Raining? When it Comes to Downpours, Nouns and Verbs are Infinitely Better Than Cats and Dogs
Look closely at the picture, there on the left. What do you see? Better yet, tell me, what is it we can’t see?
Want to know what I see? Okay! I peeked at every highlighted area and I can’t see the entire brain. I can only see half a brain.
Inside the part visible to us, I see a very perceptible void. It may hide on the other side, the part we can’t see. I’m not sure.
There are a variety of things not shown in this graphic. Reality, mannerisms, and intelligence aren’t shown in this half. They, too, must be on the other side.
The most obvious quality that is non-existent is the area that deals with our emotions. There are no feelings displayed here. No tears of joy; no sorrow, no euphoria, or love. No emotions at all!
Writers that we are, we become stifled with our work if an emotion isn’t lumped into the words we write. What does that leave? Nothing!
To gain an audience, to grab their attention as though they were a dog on a leash we take for a walk…
